The Iris Chain

Name:Rain
Eyes:Husky blue (very pale blue, sometimes greyish)
Hair: Silvery lavender, very straight, silky and fine, shoulder-blade length
Skin: darker than average
Height: 5 foot 5 inches, around 100 lbs. (yeah, skinny like a rail)
Age: 22

History:

It has been said of the Iris Chain that she met life with a bemused smile on her face. It's probably the truth. Rain's family line has run as twisted a course as could be imagined (almost). Her twice-great-grandfather was the king; her great-grandmother was a Cloud Spirit; her grandfather was a Thieves Guild-master; her mother was the leader of the largest known bandit tribe in the
country until war destroyed them and Rain was captured as a trophy. As for her personal life... She was brought up as a small thief, just one of many, distinctive only in that she had such odd coloring. Her father was unknown,  and her mother just the Lady, the leader of the tribe. At age 16, vast armies surrounded and destroyed their villages. She was captured and placed in a brothel, where she proved too much trouble to keep. She was sent on to the Palace, where, once she realized what a cushy deal it was, she settled in admirably and is now almost a veteran Chain.

Personality:
Rain is a bright, vivacious creature who rarely seems to have her feet  properly on the ground. Her wit is sharp but rarely cutting, and her favorite occupation is lazing in sun-dappled shade with an apple, a book, and a friend to nap with. She gets along well with the Chains that aren't disturbed by her pale stare.

Odd Bits: Her eyes are creepy, and she often breaks off in the middle of sentences to stare off into space. She has a limited weather-sense from her Cloud Spirit ancestry, and a small ability to see the future (which she hates).

Room: She lives in what amounts to a very nice studio apartment decorated in lush velvets and silks, mostly in pastels and gentle blues and violets. The flower of her Chain is everywhere, from the wall hangings to the furniture. The carpet is pale blue with a creamy stylized iris pattern. All the doorknobs are colorfully enameled iris heads. Even her sheets are lightly creased to simulate the texture of the veining on an iris petal. There are several windows in her room, the smaller two of which are stained glass. There is a pair of French doors leading to a very small courtyard with four very high, very smooth walls, an apple tree, and a pool with six fishies.
